Seafood Cataplana

Seafood Cataplana

Among the most popular dishes in the Algarve is the “Cataplana”. Named not only for the traditional clam like copper pan in which the food is cooked, but also to name the recipe itself. There are many possible recipes to be made with a cataplana, many will include meat, but the Shrimp Cataplana (or Seafood Cataplana) is very popular and without a doubt one of the defining dishes of the typical Algarve cuisine.
